Privacy Policy

ZS beauty and training academy, policies and procedures are important to ensure safety, professionalism, legal compliance, and high-quality education. Policies set the rules and expectations, while procedures explain how those rules are carried out.

1. Health and Safety Policy 

Ensures the safety of students, staff, and clients.

Procedures include:

Sanitising tools and equipment before and after use

Proper disposal of sharps and waste

Conducting patch tests before treatments (e.g., lash glue, hair dye)

Keeping walkways clear to prevent accidents

Reporting hazards or accidents immediately

This policy follows guidance from organisations such as Health and Safety Executive.

The academy is committed to maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene during all beauty treatments and training sessions. All staff and students must follow safe working practices in accordance with guidance from the Health and Safety Executive.

2. Hygiene and Infection Control Policy 

Prevents the spread of bacteria, viruses, and infections.

Procedures:

Washing hands before and after treatments

Using disposable items where necessary

Sterilising reusable tools

Wearing PPE (gloves, masks if required)

Cleaning treatment beds and surfaces between clients

All equipment must be sanitised before and after use.
Students must wash their hands before starting any treatment.
Patch tests must be carried out 24–48 hours before certain treatments.
Any accidents or incidents must be recorded in the accident book.
Workstations must be cleaned at the end of each session.

3. Equality and Diversity Policy 

Ensures everyone is treated fairly regardless of gender, race, religion, disability, or sexual orientation.

It aligns with the Equality Act 2010.

Procedures:

Providing equal learning opportunities

Preventing discrimination or harassment

Supporting students with additional needs

4. Safeguarding Policy 

Protects students, especially those under 18 or vulnerable adults.

Procedures:

Reporting safeguarding concerns to a designated officer

Keeping student information confidential

Ensuring safe learning environments


5. Student Code of Conduct Policy 

Sets expectations for student behaviour.

Procedures:

Attending classes on time

Wearing the correct uniform and PPE

Respecting clients, tutors, and other students

Not using mobile phones during practical sessions

6. Complaints and Feedback Policy 

Allows students or clients to raise concerns.

Procedures:

Submit a complaint in writing

Investigation by management

Resolution and feedback within a set timeframe


7. Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy 

Protects personal information of students and clients.

This follows the UK General Data Protection Regulation.

Procedures:

Secure storage of client consultation forms

Restricting access to personal data

Not sharing information without consent


8. Assessment and Certification Policy

Ensures fair evaluation of students.

Procedures:

Completing theory and practical assessments

Maintaining portfolios of evidence

Issuing certificates only after competence is demonstrated


9. Professional Standards Policy

Maintains the academy’s reputation and training quality.

Procedures:

Following treatment protocols

Maintaining professional appearance

Using approved products and equipment

Policies and procedures in a beauty training academy help ensure:

Client safety

Professional training standards

Legal compliance

Fair treatment of students and staff.


With face to face training courses any deposits paid are non refundable, however we will change your training date if needed with 7 days notice prior to your training.


All training booked with ZS beauty and training require a non refundable deposit, the remaining balance must be paid 7 days before your training date, if you cannot make your training then please give 7 days notice prior to your appointment as this gives us chance to fill your training for another student, if less than 7 days notice you will be charged 50%. If you cannot or do not turn up to your appointment on the day then there is a full charge. It is impossible to fill in your slot with no notice or very little notice.
